This government facility faced deferred maintenance issues and the need for multiple system upgrades.

The challenge was to self-fund the project through energy dollars saved.

Solution
Perfection’s in-house engineering experts suggested retrofitting the space to be more energy efficient by installing mechanical equipment, building automation controls, thermostats, cooling towers and lighting. Water conservation measures were implemented, including water-saving toilets and plumbing upgrades. The plan also included replacing windows. Perfection offered preventative maintenance training to the facility’s in-house maintenance staff.

Results
The government facility was able to make the upgrades and better maintain their building while meeting its self-funding objectives. As a result, the customer balanced its budget and eliminated the need for a county tax increase to fund the project. Energy savings from the facility improvements continue to save the customer more than $40,000 per year.
